A draft law in our client’s country of establishment infringed on EU audiovisual law. Our client looked to prevent damage to the value of its audiovisual rights. We developed a comprehensive Memorandum outlining the issues at stake and convinced three departments of the European Commission to collegially ask this country’s competent authority to amend the draft law accordingly.

We were able to secure the participation of the Commissioner for Transport for an event on connected cars featuring our non-European client and its prototypes. This contributed to establishing our client as a key player in the European IoT ecosystem.

Our client, a horizontal business association, was looking to prepare its membership for the implementation of the GDPR. We organised regular technical workshops for our client to help them take the necessary steps to become GDPR-ready.

We helped our client set up a cross-sectorial coalition of likeminded European companies to support its efforts in avoiding an excessively prescriptive new data protection framework. We coordinated a campaign in different Member States to influence the last stages of the legislative negotiations.

A leading manufacturer of telecoms infrastructure sought to promote investment in high capacity networks. We showcased the research capabilities of the company with a site visit attended by a Prime Minister and Members of the European Parliament. The organisation of high level policy discussions with several ambassadors were also instrumental in presenting the client’s vision and generate support.
